Herrera was traveling in, a white 1999 Toyota 4Runner bearing Nevada license plate No. 722-MLR, was found at a parking lot on Mount Charleston near the Mary Jane Falls trailhead. The suitcase, a case of bottled water with one bottle missing and other belongings were found inside the vehicle, police said.
The father and primary caregiver of twins was last seen at his home May 13.
He was wearing a blue half-cast on the lower portion of his left arm and has a condition that requires medication, police said. Before he disappeared, Herrera had packed a suitcase and planned on spending a few days away, police said. Herrera is Hispanic, stands 5-foot-10, weighs 200 pounds and has brown eyes and a fair complexion.
Metro Police Lt. Rob Lundquist is supervising the missing person's investigation.
"We believe he got into his vehicle and drove away," Lt. Lundquist said. "We want to find out where he's at. What happened to this individual, whether he left on his own to start over or if something actually happened to him?"
Nony's wife Johanna Blake says she found about $2,000 in cash, financial records, passports and credit cards missing from the couple's home. Yet, not a single one has been used.
Nony has been married to Johanna Blake for 4 years and has twin, two year old sons.
Nony was born in Puerto Rico in 1970, and came to the United States in 1975.
Nony has lived in Las Vegas, NV most of his life. Nony attended Las Vegas High School and has worked in the casino industry for over 15 years.
Nony recently worked as a cab driver her in Las Vegas but took a leave of absence to help care for his twins that were born profoundly pre-mature. Nony is an awesome devoted father to his sons and I am sure they miss him dearly! We need to bring this father home to his children!
